Children's Film Festival

Cinema has a wonderful ability to acquaint us with the world we live and grow amidst. Through cinema, we feel life as experienced in different environments, countries, cultures and circumstances. At its best cinema offers an insight into human life and living experience.

And what better way is there for a child to enjoy cinema than to have a festival of films from all over the world?

We have enjoyed the privilege of hosting the Children's Film Festival since the last seven years jointly with Children's Film Society of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The festival that was augmented as a small town effort by the District Administration in association with us gradually emerged as a pulsating film festival involving as many as 70,000 urban and rural students of the district. Sai Pranjpe, Shatrughan Sinha, Sanskar Desai and Arjun Chakravarty have so far added glitter to this section of the festival.
