Jamshedpur International Film Festival

[ Festival Entry Form ]   [ Last Festival ]   [ Children's Film Festival ]

It all started rolling in 1992 as a biennial concept. But the zest with which the Chapter's efforts towards this end was lauded, served as a pep pill and the Jamshedpur International Film Festival turned an annual event of entertainment, excitement, information and discovery since 1996.

The screening of between 70 to 100 feature films and approximately 15 short and documentary films makes JIFF an exciting annual rendezvous. To spice up the proceedings are the hugely attended discussion sessions like, Meet the Directors and of course, events like Felicitation of Directors, actors and actresses, publication of festival bulletins etc.

Personalities of the eminence of G. P. Sippy, Archana, Phillip Fallise (Cultural Attache, Belgian Embassy), Vijay Tendulkar, Balu Mahendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Madhabi Mukherjee, B Narsingh Rao and their like, have graced, from time to time, the eight Jamshedpur International Film Festival and five Children's International Film Festivals that have been organized till date by the Celluloid Chapter.

The 2005 Jamshedpur International Film Festival will be organized during 19th - 26th Nov'05.
